With twenty years experience working in brand marketing, sponsorship, and communications, I am fiercely proud of a strong track record working with, and leading, brilliant in-house and agency teams to deliver many high profile and impactful campaigns, experiences and events.

I have a well-rounded background in brand communications, with specialist experience across music and sport sponsorship, digital and social media strategy, consumer and corporate PR.

Putting the T in T in the Park.

For twelve brilliant and hugely rewarding years, I was responsible for leading the activation of iconic brand Tennent’s Lager’s music and sport sponsorship portfolio, notably T in the Park, T Break, T on the Fringe, Triptych, The Tennent’s Mutual, Tennent’s Scottish Cup, Scotland National Sides, Rangers & Celtic Football Clubs. (2002-2013)

Gap Year.

In 2013, I took redundancy after twenty years with Tennent’s, seizing the opportunity to take a career break to travel and take on a volunteer role with the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
(2014)

Freelance Life.

Post gap-year, I started freelancing and working primarily agency-side with SSE on their headline sponsorship of SSE Hydro and SSE Arena Wembley, and with the Scottish Music Awards on behalf of charity partner Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy.
(2015)

Innis & Gunn.

Returning to beer, I spent three years leading PR & digital communications for the UK’s No.2 craft brewer Innis & Gunn, building the corporate and brand profile in key markets (UK, Canada, Sweden, USA) during an exciting period of rapid growth for the business.
(2016-2019)

Covid19.

After a short career break in Australia, I returned just prior to the Covid-19 lockdown and I worked for five months as an inbound Call Handler for the NHS111 Covid19 Response Line, managing symptom assessment, advice, and escalation to emergency services.
(2020)

Currently.

Returning to freelance work, I offer an agile, reliable, competent, and highly experienced resource to support in-house and agency teams across communications planning and delivery, project management, event planning, creative development. Recent work includes supporting clients such as Scottish Government, COP26, New York Times, Tennent’s Lager, The Macallan, Glasgow City Council.

I’ve also found a real passion for helping businesses to play a part in the necessary transition to net-zero, and I am pro-actively building knowledge + experience to help brands and organisations develop and communicate social and environmental sustainability actions.
